He
Watches is a four-minute short film based on a poem by Nobel Laureate
Wislawa Szymborska.
From the opening title 'The bomb will
go off in the bar at 1:20', the story unfolds through the terrorist's
point of view, as he waits for
the blast. People enter and exit the bar, and as we countdown the
seconds,
the characters are brought into hyper-reality
by the uncertainty whether they will live or die.
The film focuses on the fragility
of life, told through the small everyday moments on a Berlin street
corner
in the minutes before the explosion.
